L2 Consulting Services, Inc. Awarded Supplemental Type Certificate for 777 Series Inmarsat Swiftbroadband Upgrade Using Rockwell Collins SAT-2100B

Austin, Texas – March 3rd, 2011 – L2 Consulting Services, Inc (L2) is pleased to announce that the company has been awarded an FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC ST11037SC) for the installation of the Inmarsat Swiftbroadband upgrade to the Rockwell Collins SAT-2100B Satellite Communications System on Boeing 777 series aircraft. The installation, which was an upgrade to Rockwell Collins SAT2100, was accomplished on V Australia Airlines 777-300ER.

L2 President Mark Lebovitz said, “This was the first air transport STC offered outside of factory installation for the SAT-2100B system.” He added, “The professionalism of the L2 certification team and the continued trust of our customers allow us to always be on the leading edge of avionics system

The Rockwell Collins SAT-2100B Satellite Communications System is a compact lightweight and economic satellite communications offering. The incorporation of the Inmarsat Swiftbroadband upgrade supports high speed data which allows more simultaneous users and more demanding applications. L2 also holds the following STCs for 777 series aircraft: ST0030BO – Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) System, ST10972SC – Iridium Communications System, and ST10974SC – Terminal Wireless Local Area Network (TWLU).
