(L2) is pleased to announce that the company has received a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC-424-TYO) from the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) for the installation of the Iridium Satellite Communications System on Boeing 737-700/-800 aircraft. The original Federal Aviation Administration Supplemental Type Certificate (ST10928SC) was certified by L2 for both the ICG NxtLink ICS-220A and Rockwell Collins IRT-2120 Iridium Satcom systems.

The NxtLink ICS-220A and IRT-2120 devices are a comprehensive communications system that provides the Flight Crew with a dedicated Data Link channel to support; Aircraft Communications and Reporting System (ACARS), FANs messaging, Controller – Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC) and an exclusive global voice channel. L2 also holds existing Iridium certifications on B747, B757, and B767 aircraft.
