| L2 Design Services
We offer a full spectrum of systems design, integration, and installation services for avionics systems, including requirements definition, systems analysis, design kit installation, FAA certification, Avionics training, and testing.
Our design services includes all facets of systems integration, installation and testing including systems for area navigation (RNAV) and required navigation performance (RNP), TAWS (terrain awareness and warning systems), TCAS/ACAS (airborne collision avoidance systems), Mode-S “select” secondary surveillance radar), FM (frequency modulation) immunity, EGNOS (European geostationary navigation overlay service), RVSM (reduced vertical separation minima), and Communication Navigation Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) implementations.
As for modifications and aircraft upgrades, we have recently produced commercial kits for RAAS (Runway Awareness and Advisory System), DFDR (digital flight data recorders), GPS, Northrop Grumman’s LTR-97 fiber optic gyro), VHF-communications and navigation, ICS (integrated communication systems), GPWS (ground proximity warning systems), WX RDR (weather radar), RVSM, TCAS (traffic alert and collision avoidance systems), and more.
All of our design work is performed within the parameters of U.S. Federal Air Regulation Part 21 and the applicable FARs under which our customers operate.
The FAA’s own schedules, of course, can affect the overall schedule of the STC process. These might include the issuance of an FAA project number, the acceptance of a project specific certification plan, the issuances of a TIA (type inspection authorization), kit conformity, installation conformity, PMA (parts manufacturing approval), ground test witnessing, flight test designation/assignment, and STC certificate.
