FAA Issues Certified Repair Station Certificate to L2 Consulting Services, Inc.
Dripping
Springs , Texas– February 20, 2003 -The FAA
presented Texas-based L2 Consulting Services, Inc. (L2)
a Federal Aviation Administration Air Agency Certificate
today at their facility in Dripping Springs, Texas. The
certificate allows L2 to be rated to perform integration
and installation for : Limited Airframe, Limited Radio,
Limited Instrument, Limited Accessory and Limited Specialized
Service.
To receive the certificate, the company
worked with the FAA Flight Standard District Office in
San Antonio to ensure that all requirements of FAA Part
145 rule (effective date of compliance of April 6, 2003)
were met. Examples of those requirements include a complete
review of L2's Procedures, Operational Specifications,
and manuals. The FAA certification also required L2's
assurance of adequate facilities, maintenance equipment
requirements and the training and certification of maintenance
personnel.
"As an FAA Part 145 repair station,
we will be better able to serve our customers through
improved operational procedures, comprehensive documentation
and increased integration/installation flexibility,"
says Jeff Rex, Vice-President of Integration.
According to Mark Lebovitz, President, all repair stations are required to maintain stringent procedures to ensure that installations and repairs are performed in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. "L2 has modified hundreds of new technology navigation, communication, surveillance systems working under the authority of Part 121 and 145 customers. Now, L2 will be able to offer our extensive expertise with Part 145 Repair Station authority."
