Breakout Boxes

In order to help improve our own efficiency in modifying aircraft in the field and in response to our customer’s requests, L2 has generated a wide range of Breakout Boxes. These critical pieces of test equipment are used to support system activation, expedite maintenance and streamline the troubleshooting process. Some of the units can also be used to remotely power avionics equipment for demonstration purposes either on the plane or in a conference room environment.

The Breakout Boxes span a wide spectrum of functionality with some serving to break out every signal coming in to a unit, i.e. the DFDR Breakout Box, while others breakout only specific signals commonly monitored for either testing or troubleshooting purposes.

Standard Features of our Breakout Boxes include:

• LED Status Lights

• Ethernet Monitoring (RJ45 Jacks) as applicable

• Choice of either colored TIP or Banana Plug Jacks

• Rotary switches or pushbuttons to simulate discrete inputs

• Mil-Spec, aircraft quality hardware and wiring

• Support documentation package

• Aircraft quality craftsmanship in all aspects of manufacturing

• Label tape markers or silk-screening options for legend

• Optional Zero Manufacturing Aluminum carrying case

All of L2's build-to-order and ground-use only products are manufactured under the same stringent standards applied to our FAA Certified Repair Station and Parts Manufacturing Approval facility. Although the quality of workmanship is as professional as any of the products we make for installation in your airframe, the Breakout Boxes are for ground use only.
